Belga Rooftop Bar & Brasserie
Bangkok's First Belgian Brasserie — Beers, Mussels & Frites
Our take
A Belgian brasserie that happens to be 32 floors up, and refuses to let the view distract from the mussels: four ways, including a Hoegaarden pot and a tom-yum crossover that shouldn't work but does, with proper double-cooked frites and a beer wall running deep into abbey territory. The terrace turns Sukhumvit into a backdrop for what is essentially very good comfort food. For beer people, this is the city's most rewarding altitude.
Insider tip
Billed as Bangkok's first Belgian restaurant, Belga lines up 50-plus Belgian beers beside a copper-tap beer wall. Order the moules-frites — the mussels are widely considered the best in the city — and finish with a Liege waffle.
