Our take

The color-shifting arch is Bangkok's most recognizable piece of rooftop architecture, and the circular bar beneath it is engineered so no table loses — the skyline wraps every seat, Baiyoke to one side, Mahanakhon to the other. The building is shared with other rooftops landmarks, the champagne bar above, the fancy dining bellow, but the 56th-floor bar is the sweet spot: theatrical without the ceremony. An icon that mostly earns it.

Insider tip

The bar is walk-in only, first come first seated, so land before sunset — conveniently, the daily happy hour runs two-for-one from four to six. And trust the staff when they offer a blanket; the 56th floor has its own weather.
