The Best Rooftop Fine Dining in Bangkok

Seven kitchens in the sky — Michelin names, world-record altitude and dinners worth dressing up for.

Nobu Bangkok rooftop bar in Sathon, Bangkok

1.Nobu Bangkok

Sathon · Floors 57–58

The world's highest Nobu, crowning The Empire with Rockwell Group interiors that run Thai temple carving into Japanese minimalism. The black cod and the cocktails deliver the global standard, but the real secret is vertical: keep going up to the open-air rooftop bar on the former helipad, where the 360° panorama takes in the river, Bang Krachao's green lung, Mahanakhon and Sky Bar's golden dome all at once. Opened late 2024; already the special-occasion default.

Reservations essential — and don't skip the top-floor bar; it's the best part of the building.

Le Du Kaan rooftop bar in Sathon, Bangkok

2.Le Du Kaan

Sathon · Floor 56

Chef Thitid "Ton" Tassanakajohn — a Michelin star at Le Du five years running and a fixture of Asia's 50 Best — translating regional Thai produce into 56th-floor theatre. It's billed as the world's first Thai rooftop fine-dining concept, the seasonal sharing sets make the strongest all-Thai argument on this list, and the botanical cocktails keep pace with the kitchen. The Empire connects straight to BTS Chong Nonsi, so arriving is effortless; getting a table is not.

Strictly reservation-only — book well ahead in high season (November–February) and go with the seasonal set.

Ojo Bangkok rooftop bar in Silom, Bangkok

3.Ojo Bangkok

Silom · Floor 76

Thailand's highest restaurant, on the 76th floor of The Standard at Mahanakhon: Chef Paco Ruano — whose Guadalajara restaurant Alcalde sits on Latin America's 50 Best — cooking glamorous Mexican inside Ou Baholyodhin's gold-and-pink "space-age retro" room. The Crab Ojo guacamole and slow-roasted suckling pig headline, artisanal mezcals match the altitude, and critics are already pencilling in a Michelin star.

Book the outdoor terrace for sunset — the indoor glass throws reflections at golden hour.

Sirocco rooftop bar in Silom / Riverside, Bangkok

4.Sirocco

Silom / Riverside · Floor 64

The grande dame: Mediterranean fine dining on the open terrace under the golden dome, long billed among the world's highest open-air restaurants, immortalised by The Hangover Part II and recognised by Italy's Gambero Rosso guide. Be clear-eyed: you're paying for the setting more than the plate, and at these prices that's a real choice. But dinner at the balustrade with the river glittering below remains one of the great theatrical meals in Asia.

Request a rail-side table when booking — that's the postcard seat, and the whole point.

Akara Sky Hanuman Bangkok rooftop bar in Ploenchit, Bangkok

Ploenchit · Floors 58–61

The new heavyweight: four floors atop One City Centre — Thailand's tallest office tower at 275 metres — built as an immersive Thai cultural park in the sky. A welcome drink at Baan Hanuman leads into mirrored "Bangkok Reflection" decks, a virtual Loy Krathong, traditional dance performances, and even a rooftop Thai night market with street games and food carts. The progressive Thai plates and cured wagyu skewers are real cooking, not props; cocktails run ฿500–700.

Take the skywalk straight from BTS Phloen Chit, and time your booking to catch a dance performance — ask when reserving.

Breeze rooftop bar in Silom / Riverside, Bangkok

6.Breeze

Silom / Riverside · Floor 52

You arrive across a 25-metre neon-lit sky bridge that shifts colour beneath you — the most dramatic restaurant entrance in Bangkok — into the city's highest open-air Chinese dining room. The tasting menu reads as a tour of the refined Cantonese kitchen, interleaved with Hokkaido sourcing, backed by a 3,000-bottle wine collection, and the terrace tables sit right under lebua's scalloped balconies with the river far below.

Walk the sky bridge again after dinner — it cycles colours all night and the photos are unreal. Strict dress code applies.

Penthouse Bar + Grill rooftop bar in Ploenchit, Bangkok

7.Penthouse Bar + Grill

Ploenchit · Floors 34–36

Park Hyatt's Manhattan-inflected stack — six spaces across three floors, from an open-kitchen steakhouse where chefs grill over organic coconut charcoal, through a moody cocktail lounge with live jazz Wednesday to Sunday, up to an open-air garden bar. It took home a Best Jazz & Cocktail Bar Experience award, and it's the business-dinner and celebration workhorse of this list: polished, reliable and quietly one of the best steaks in the city.

Collared shirts required for men on the grill floor — dress for the 34th and drift upward with the jazz.
